Bed Full of Ferns

Brief

When the couple first approached us for their wedding, their keywords were wild, lush and ‘not much florals frankly’. V had a strong vision for a wild arrangement and loved the idea of using what we have around us, she also offered us her garden for us to forage from! 

This provided inspiration for us to create a lush, wild and green arrangement for their special day, using ferns and tropical plants were already present in her

Design Inspiration 

We took inspiration from lots of places for this piece- from the avenues in Singapore, to beautiful curated parks and gardens. With an almost only-green palette, we knew that nailing the textural compositions and balance was essential.

Botanical Palette

After hours of thronging in the gardens and nurseries, we decided on a large array of ferns of varying scales- from a large 2m tall tree fern to frame the walk in to small pots of rabbit fern to place in the nooks. The textural difference of the various ferns came together really nicely to create a fun and wild form. 

 

 

Kind Words

Echevaria was extremely easy to work with and I enjoyed the process! The conceptualisation and proposal prepared helped to align our expectations from the onset and gave me the assurance to enable Echevaria with complete creative freedom (which I would now recommend!). I loved the eventual design and received many compliments where it also complemented the venue.
